Itinerary in detail
Day 1 : Arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be greeted by your guide. Upon arrival at your first luxury lodge in Arusha, take the rest of the day to relax, restore and enjoy your first taste of Africa. Your private safari guide is an expert on all things Tanzania – from the culture to the national parks to Tanzania’s wonderful wildlife.

Day 2 : Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we start our 5 Days Tanzania Luxury Safari Safari by departing to Tarangire for a game drive with packed lunch at the park. The park is famous for having the largest population of elephants, cat families, bird species, and baobab trees. It is also considered a dry refuge for animals due to the presence of the Tarangire River.

Day 3 : Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive straight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at a viewing point. After that, you will descend into the 600m-deep crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is one of the world’s most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai community. On reaching the crater’s edge, the 20km-diameter caldera opens up before you in all its glory, and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail.
This World Heritage Site is seasonally home to over 25,000 animals, including a wide range of bird species, hyenas, and the endangered black rhinos. We will serve you a hot lunch at a picnic spot near the hippo pool. After lunch, we will drive you straight to the heart of Serengeti National Park. You will have an en-route game drive to your accommodation where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Full Day at the Serengeti National Park
The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. You will spend another night at the lodge.
If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend that you go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.

Day 5 : Serengeti National Park to Karatu
You will continue your safari today in the breathtaking Serengeti National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes featured in numerous acclaimed nature documentaries. The park’s vast plains and rich wildlife are unparalleled, offering a remarkable experience as you witness millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles galloping across the expansive terrain. Accompanied by your private guide, you will search for these magnificent herds throughout the plains. In addition to the migratory species, you will also encounter a variety of other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and more. Prepare to be captivated by the natural splendor of Africa’s most iconic park.
Afterward, you will drive back to Karatu.

Day 6 : Lake Manyara National Park
You will leave the lodge after breakfast and start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about two hours. This park is a haven for photographers and is renowned for its exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Visitors can anticipate encountering many of Africa’s iconic animals, with the tree-climbing lions being a standout attraction. These majestic hunters can often be seen resting in acacia trees, creating perfect photo opportunities. For bird enthusiasts, Lake Manyara is a true paradise, showcasing a diverse array of bird species. Even those new to birdwatching will be captivated by the sight of large flocks of flamingos, soaring raptors, and the vividly colored lilac-breasted roller. After your exploration, you will return to Arusha.
