Tanzania Night Gamedrives
Explore the bush at night
Tanzania Night Game-drives – Nocturnal animals are species that flourish in the darkness, exhibiting increased activity during the night while typically resting or sleeping throughout the day. In our region, a remarkable array of nocturnal wildlife can be observed, including hippos, lions, leopards, porcupines, civet cats, white-tailed mongooses, aardvarks, and cape hares.
To witness these intriguing creatures in their natural habitat, participating in a night game drive is essential. Our night game drives in Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks are conducted by knowledgeable guides. We offer customized 4×4 safari cruisers and Land Cruisers fitted with powerful lighting, allowing you to fully appreciate the nocturnal behaviors of these animals.
Your night safari experience begins around 19:00 as you venture into the lush groundwater forest of Lake Manyara. You will then proceed towards the lake, following the course of the Simba River to arrive at the mesmerizing hippo pools. After exploring the enchanting forest, your journey will conclude at the park gate by approximately 22:30. This nighttime adventure is designed to reveal a completely different aspect of the park and its wildlife, providing a distinctive insight into their activities under the veil of night.
