Day by day itinerary
Day 1 : Tarangire National Park
2 Days Tanzania Flying Safari from Zanzibar to Ngorongoro and Tarangire will start by picking you up at the Arusha airport and drive to Tarangire National Park (a two-hour journey). The park is known for its varied landscape. The park is famous for its many Ancient Baobab trees and for having the most elephants in the country. It also gives you a chance to see how elephant families communicate with each other. We will go on a game drive in the park based on where people have seen animals (primarily predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are difficult to notice) as herbivores (such giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and others) are easy to see.
Later, we’ll go to the Tarangire River picnic area and enjoy the wonderful view of the river and animals as we have lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you away from your food, but there’s no need to fear.

Day 2 : Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar or JRO
Following an early breakfast, you will go to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a “must see” safari place, which is a fascinating wildlife arena. The “Big Five”—buffalo, elephants, rhinos, lions, and leopards—can frequently be seen in a single day in this area, which is home to around 25,000 huge creatures. Over 260 km2 (100 miles2) in size, the crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site that was created two to three million years ago when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself. Known as “Africa’s Eden,” it is currently the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Driving through the Ngorongoro Highlands, you will arrive at the crater rim and then plunge down 610m (2000 feet) onto its’ floor to start your safari spectacular. You will depart for Kilimanjaro Airport or your Arusha hotel late in the afternoon.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the luggage allowance on the light aircraft ?
Luggage is strictly limited due to aircraft size and weight restrictions. Typically, the allowance is:
Soft-sided duffel bags only (hard suitcases are not permitted).
Weight limit: 15-20 kg (33-44 lbs) per person in total, including hand luggage.
Dimensions are often restricted (e.g., 25cm x 30cm x 62cm). Exact limits will be provided in your pre-departure information.
What to Pack ?
Wear comfortable safari clothes. It’s best to wear layers because the weather might change. Important: Always include your camera, binoculars, prescriptions, travel documents, and a light jacket in your carry-on bag.
How many people on Plane ?
Aircraft vary but commonly seat 12-19 passengers on scheduled shared flights. Seating is assigned by the operator, and all passengers have a window seat. Private charter flights are also available for greater flexibility.
Are the flights direct, or do they make multiple stops ?
The scheduled flights frequently function like a “bus service in the sky,” with brief stops at several airstrips to drop off and pick up passengers. Your guide will educate you about the timetable. Direct private charters can be arranged.
What happens if my international flight to Kilimanjaro (JRO) is delayed ?
Whenever possible, we include flexibility at the beginning of your trip. We will help you rebook on the next available flight, however there may be additional fees, if you miss a scheduled domestic flight because of an international delay. Arriving at least one day prior to the start of your safari is highly recommended.
Is flying safe ?
Indeed. We exclusively collaborate with respectable, authorized domestic airlines that follow stringent international and Tanzanian safety regulations. Their pilots have a great deal of local flying expertise.
Can I extend my trip to Zanzibar ?
Of course! We can easily set up your flight to Zanzibar (ZNZ) from a mainland park airstrip (such as Seronera or Manyara).

"Amazing trip"
Recommend this to everyone, Mr. Herman was our guide, and super knowledgeable and professional. He knew where to find every animal we wanted to see and was super punctual. We saw every animal that you associate with Safari, and super close! We stayed at wonderful accommodations with the Camp at Serengeti being the highlight, along with a nice stay with the Maasai at the end of our trip.

"Very happy on a journey!"
This trip is so much fun! Our guides, Jordan and Osman, are very attentive, and the guide to my car is Jordan, who has a very sharp eye for spotting particularly distant animals and always takes us very quickly to the best viewing booth for animals. And I think their service was good. Oh, never let us carry a suitcase once from start to finish, always laughing! And he’ll tell us a lot about their local fun and great driving skills!

"Unforgettable Experience"
We had an unforgettable experience booking our Tanzania safari with Meijo Safaris. From start to finish, the service was seamless, and the team went above and beyond to make the trip truly special. A particular highlight was our incredible guides, Herman and Prays. They were always attentive to our needs, made sure we were comfortable, and consistently impressed us with their professionalism.
On the game drives, their eagle eyes spotted.
