Climbing Kilimanjaro is the experience of a lifetime, with Africa’s highest mountain rising 19,340 ft (5,895 m), the highest free-standing mountain in the country. It is also one of the seven summits, the seventh highest point on any continent in the world. If you are physically fit, you can ascend Mount Kilimanjaro to summit the Peak. Our Mount Kilimanjaro climbing tours are planned at the strongly recommended lead of high-altitude performance. We created special climbing techniques carefully crafted to optimize personal protection and summit opportunities for climbers on the highest mountain in Africa and the largest non-mass mountain in the world. From the shortest 5 days of the Marangu route and 7 days of the Machame route to the longest 8 days of the Lemosho route, the experience of a passionate team is well established and has resulted in a high success rate of 95 percent.

Popular Kilimanjaro Routes
Machame Route
Machame is our most popular and efficient Kilimanjaro summit route. Porters carry tents up the mountain for trekkers. You can hike the gorgeous Machame trek in 6 days, but we recommend 7 days to allow for adaptation. Topography helps hikers climb high and sleep low on the Machame trail, improving acclimatization. There are two drawbacks to this route:
Hikers must first cross a region immediately before the Shira Ridge and trek the Barranco Wall, which are physically hard and may be difficult for those afraid of heights.
The route’s high success rate, reinforced by the fact that alternative routes join the Machame route from day 3, might lead to more hikers. Descend via the Mweka path.
Marangu Route
One of the most popular routes to Mount Kilimanjaro is the Marangu Route, sometimes known as the “Coca-Cola Route.” Since the Marangu way is the only route to Uhuru that can be walked in five days, many hikers think it’s the easiest and cheapest. It’s the only trail with mountain A-frame cabins. The 5-day Marangu trail is famous for having one of the lowest peak performance rates of all uphill paths. Our recommendation for the Marangu trail is a 6-day walk to increase your chances of summiting. This route is the only one with pleasant communal sleeping huts with beds and mattresses for overnight stays. Most markets sell mineral waters, Coke, and chocolate. The Marangu trail ascends and descends the same way.
Lemosho Route
The Lemosho path, a newer alternative to the Shira Route, is the most scenic Kilimanjaro path. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the simplest approaches to Africa’s largest mountain and one of the best experiences. Mount Kilimanjaro is approached from the west after a lengthy trek from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. The first two days are spent traveling through the rain forest to Shira Ridge. The Lemosho trail crosses the Shira Plateau from west to east in a nice, easy hike. Few people are around until the route crosses the Machame trail at Lava Tower. Before summiting from Barafu, the Southern Circuit trek passes under Kilimanjaro’s Southern Ice Field. Mweka is utilized for descending.
